Terms of Service
Effective August 29, 2026. These terms apply to listings, optional ranking participation and payments.
1. What TopFreelancer is
TopFreelancer.online is a public freelancer portfolio directory and leaderboard. A listing payment buys publication of one eligible profile; it does not buy employment, client leads, guaranteed traffic, sales, contracts, endorsements, ranking duration or income.
2. Eligibility and profile information
You must provide information you are authorized to publish, including your name, category, portfolio link and public email. Do not impersonate another person or submit unlawful, deceptive, abusive, harmful or infringing material. We may reject or remove profiles that violate these terms.
3. One-time listing payment
Checkout automatically shows the applicable listing fee before payment. This is a one-time fee, not a subscription, and TopFreelancer does not take commission from work arranged directly between users.
4. Payment verification and publication
Profile details and duplicates are checked before checkout. Publication occurs only after TopFreelancer verifies the payment with the selected provider. A completed payment may be processed by the provider even if the browser is closed, so do not start a second checkout for the same profile.
5. Listing management
After publication, you receive a private management link. You are responsible for keeping it confidential. It can be used to update or permanently delete the listing. Deleting a listing does not automatically create a refund right.
6. Optional ranking payments
Each category has its own ranking, and checkout shows the exact price for the next valid move. Paid ranking scores drop to 20% every Monday at 9:00 AM UTC. Rankings may change when another valid move completes, and payment does not guarantee how long a position remains visible.
7. Refunds and failed publication
Payments are generally final once an eligible profile is published or a ranking move is applied. If payment is captured but TopFreelancer cannot publish the listing because of a verified technical failure, we may automatically attempt a reversal or provide support. This policy does not remove rights that cannot legally be waived, and each payment provider may apply its own dispute, reversal and compliance rules.
8. No guaranteed results
Listing visibility is promotional exposure only. We do not guarantee profile views, clicks, enquiries, followers, employment, projects, revenue or any other commercial result.
9. Abuse and availability
Automated abuse, payment manipulation, fraudulent identities, malicious links, harassment or attempts to bypass platform safeguards are prohibited. We may maintain, pause, modify or discontinue parts of the service when reasonably necessary.
10. Third-party services and acceptance
Payments are handled by third-party payment processors, and portfolio links lead to services TopFreelancer does not control. Their terms, privacy practices and availability apply. By submitting a listing, completing payment or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the current Rules page.
